Day 1

Hello!

We had a very successful and exciting start to XX Coders today! To everyone that attended, congratulations on completing your first day! We used a program called CS First to increase student access and exposure to computer science education, focusing specifically today on learning the basics of the visual programming language, Scratch. Students worked on building some really cool, creative and interactive games that we’ll be sharing with each other as the camp progresses, so stay tuned!

For tomorrow, please note:

• The bus will come to pick up students starting at 1 pm.
• Parents – please make sure you pick up your phone when the bus driver calls.
• We will be going to 7-Eleven for slurpees and a light snack!
• And lastly, exciting news! XX Coders will be receiving media coverage on News 12. Please stay tuned for a photograph and video release form that will be emailed to all of you.
