After much anticipation, the STEM Queens finally went on a trip to the Microsoft flagship store in Manhattan. They had an awesome time with the lovely folks from Microsoft! They were first taken to a private WMR (Windows Mixed Reality) workshop, where they played with augmented reality and Paint3D. They learned how to create their own 3D avatars, which were then translated into real pictures and put into a video slideshow. It was fun to see the girls getting creative with their avatars! The room was also equipped with a video game racing system & other games for them to play. After we finished the workshop, we got a tour of the building. STEM Queens got a chance to play with awesome new products from Microsoft, and were a part of a video in the store. A big thanks to all of the lovely employees, who were very friendly and accommodating to the students.
