Hello again Parents and Students!
Today we had a lovely guest speaker Anissa from Girls Inc. come in and giver her speech about confidence. Anissa was kind enough to give the girls a designed notebook for the girls to keep. She also set up multiple interactive games so the girls were able to partner up with each other and describe what makes an ideal leader and role model. The girls were able to say who their personal role models are and most of them answered a member of their family or teaching figure. Once the girls were done with Anissa, they continued their last session of Scratch. Today the girls were able to design a code with an output that focuses on if-else statements. For example, the girls designed an animated starfish that asked the girls their name and how they were. If the girls said that they were okay and in a good mood the starfish would smile. Else the starfish would frown and ask why are they not in a good mood. Tomorrow the girls will start their first lesson of Python!
