Hello Parents & Students,

Today we’ve continued our lesson on the importance of code and how it’s part of our online lives! We watched an interesting TED talk on the platform we’re learning this week, Scratch. Scratch is a user-friendly website or application that can be used to create online projects through block-based visual programming interfaces. In class, we went over Binaries and how a majority of our code can be interpreted as 0s or 1s to follow a set of instructions from the code developer. Just a friendly reminder to also submit the NCWIT e-waivers from parents and the NCWIT surveys that the girls must fill out by the end of this week!
