Hello Parents & Students.
Today we’ve started our faux website final project that will go into today and tomorrows lessons. Today we also had a representative from Girls Inc of Long Island speak to the girls regarding self-esteem, confidence, sexism, etc. The girls were broken up into groups to discuss what they would do if they created a company and what their company would target or try to eliminate. The girls thought of ideas such as a women empowerment start-up that would try to encourage for women of all ages that loving themselves and accepting themselves first before catering to others. The faux website final project will be continued tomorrow! Tomorrow we will also have the food + swag giveaway, Suffolk County Legislator Richberg will also want to congratulate the XXCoders for what they’ve accomplished this summer please contact us if you’re able to make it!
